Get to Know Dr. Imran Dobouni
Dr. Imran Dobouni has an immense passion for helping patients reach their dental goals, and we are more than happy to bring him onto the team. For him, the best thing about his job is having the opportunity to build long-term relationships with his patients while seeing the incredible impact his services provide them. Witnessing their smile transformation and improvement in oral health is very rewarding for him, and he loves being able to collaborate with his colleagues so that we can offer the best dental care possible. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Dobouni chose to become a dentist due to his personal experiences growing up. As kids, he and his sisters had to overcome challenges when it came to dental care, which ended up leaving a lasting impression on him. He wanted to transform that negative experience into something positive by being able to provide compassionate and high-quality care for others. He went off to begin his journey into dentistry so that he could be the dentist he felt he needed as a child, and he’s never looked back.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Dobouni graduated from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis for his undergraduate degree before studying at Indiana University School of Dentistry to receive his dental doctorate. After graduating, he worked at a dental practice in Greensburg, Southern Indiana as well as volunteered at Trinity Free Clinic in Carmel. He was also involved in the Student Outreach Clinic in Crawfordsville where he was able to help underserved communities receive essential dental care.
Over the years, Dr. Dobouni has undertaken continuing education courses in various areas including sedation dentistry, oral surgery, grafting, phlebotomy, and PRF sciences. He’s also a proud and active member of both the American Dental Association and the Indiana Dental Association, where he remains current with the advancements in the field of dentistry.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Having grown up in Fishers, Indiana, Dr. Dobouni enjoys spending time with his sisters, his parents, and their cat named Root Beer. As a family, they enjoy doing outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and pickleball. He also likes playing tennis, cooking, and practicing photography while taking photos of the wildlife at Brown County State Park. One interesting fact about him: he spent 11 years of his childhood overseas in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
